Neat solution for Thornton’s Special Toffees

DS Smith Corrugated Clay Cross was asked to produce a new retail ready pack for Thornton’s Special Toffee. Previously this product had been packed in an 0201 case and hand decanted onto the shelf. A specific set of perforation rules was designed to allow the pack to be easily broken open, leaving a clean edged display.

The new pack is highly decorative providing enhanced visibility throughout the supply chain. What’s more, a 30% saving in materials has been achieved as the clever use of perforations and shapes has avoided the need for a larger folded blank or a two piece case. Product to shelf time has improved by 75%.
