Out with glass, in with corrugated

DS Smith Speciality Packaging at Lockerbie has enabled Nestlé to replace glass jars in trays by designing a pasta sauce pouch pack dispenser. The 100% recyclable corrugated dispenser has a pull down flap at its base from which up to 10 packs of pasta sauce can be accessed by the customer. It also neatly solves the problem of how to display the pouches on shelf.

Quite apart from the beneficial environmental impact, the new dispensers are 14% quicker to pack on line and have reduced space requirements by 28%.
